CTET Admit Card : Exam Form Online, Syllabus, Eligibility, Exam Date
CTET is the national-level exam basedon the CBSE pattern andis conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE). The exam is conducted twice a year.Theshortlisted candidates are appointed as teachers for Secondary level students (class- I to VIII). There procedure consists of two CTET testpapers in the exam.
The candidates who want to teach the classes from I to V, they have to appear for Paper-I and those who want to teach classes from VI to VIII, must have to appear for Paper-II. However, the candidates, who want to teach from I to VIII, have to appear in both Paper-I and II.
Every year more than 20 lakhs candidates apply and appear for CTET examination. On an average, only about 15% candidates got qualified among the appeared candidates.
CTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The aspiring candidates must possess the following academic qualifications to appear in this exam:
- The applicant must pass 10+2 examination with minimum 45% aggregate marks from a recognized board to appear and get qualified as primary level teachers for grades- I-V.
- To appear and qualify as a elementary level teachers (VI-VIII), the applicant mustclear graduation with minimum 45% aggregate marks or 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- Candidates are also required to complete the prescribed teacher training programs/teacher training courses.
Age limit
There is no age limit to appear for this exam. Any Indian citizen can apply for it.
CTET Application fee
The application fee for only one paper like Paper-I or Paper -II is Rs. 700/-andthe same for both the papers, that is, Paper-I and Paper-II is Rs. 1,200/- for general and OBC candidates.
For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the fee for single paper (Paper-I or Paper-II) is Rs. 350/- and for both the papers (Paper-I and II) is Rs.600/-.
Qualifying marks
The aspirants belonging to general category must score 60% marks or more than that to qualify CTET 2019. However, the reserved categories ( SC\ ST\OBC) need to score 55%or more to qualify in CTET. In addition to this, no negative marks will be given for wrong answers. For each right answer, the candidates will get one marks (or as marks allottedto the person).,
Number of attempts
There is no specific maximum or minimum limit for appearing in this exam. One can appear for CTET as many times according to their wish. Also, the qualified candidates can appear for CTET repeatedly. There are no restrictions for qualified as well as non-qualified candidates.
CTET Syllabus
CTET syllabus includes Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Social Studies, Environmental Studies, Mathematics and Science.
CTET Exam Date 2019
The application release date is August 19 and the last date to apply online is September 30. However, one can make corrections (if any) between 4-10 October. the admit card will be issued on the third week of November. The exam will occur on 8th December.

The candidates must reach the examination centre at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the exams along with their admit card. The duration of the examination will be two and a half hours. The candidates who want to qualify for class I-V, shall appear for Paper-I.
And the candidates who want to teach the classes from VI-VIII, shall appear for Paper-II.The candidates must have to carry their admit card and any one of the photo ID proof(such as PAN CARD, AADHAR CARD, VOTER ID CARD, DRIVING LICENSE, PASSPORT, etc.) in the exam hall.

CTET admit card will be available on the official website, that is, www.ctet.nic.in . The next page will appear.
There you have to fill in the required details to get your admit card.You will also get to know about the examination centre andthe time of reporting in the centre.
As a candidate, you are allowed to choose three preferable exam centers (present in the 110 cities) of your choice. All these relevant information of the applicant and the exact exam centre name are given in the admit card.
CTET admit card download process is quite easy.
- Visit the official website (ctet.nic.in)
- Click on the download admit card option.
- The next page will appear. Here, you have to select the application type first.
- Then, fill in the application number, date of birth, and security pin and click on the login option.
- After that, click on the admit card tab present on the next pageafter successful login.
- Now, fill in the registration number and passwordproperly which were allotted to you during registration.
- Click on the “Submit” option.
- The admit will appear. Download and print it immediately.
CTET Result 2019
After examination of CTET December 2019, the result will be announced by CBSE on its official website. The candidates, who will pass in the examination, will get an eligibility certificate. The validity of the eligibility certificate is seven years. This duration is counted from the day of result declaration..
CTET Answer key 2019
CTET answer key 2019 will be available in the official website of CTET, which is, www.ctet.nic.in , after the exam gets over. As soon as the exam is over, the answer key is published at the official website. As we all know that CTET 2019 exam will be conducted on 8th December, 2019.
Thus, the appeared candidates can download the answer key after the examfor the papers in which they appeared. The answer key is also given by various reputed coaching institutes after the exam is over. In this way, the candidates can get an approximate idea regarding the marks they can score on the basis of correct and incorrect answers.
The answer key for Paper-I is for primary stage candidates and the same for Paper-II is for elementary stage candidates. The candidates are free to raise their objections if they any doubts or are unsatisfied with any answer.
However, the candidates must have to submit a valid clarification of the same answer. The officials will, then evaluate and re-present the Final answer key based on the points and clarifications pointed out by the candidates.
CTET Online apply
The mode of CTET application is online. As an applicant, it is mandatory to fill the form, upload the relevant documents and photo (in the perfect resolution as instructed), pay the fee and print the confirmation page.
The step-by-step guide to fill the CTET online form 2019 is given below:
- Step-1: Filling application form
First of all, the candidates have to visit the official portal (www.ctet.nic.in)
Now, click on the option “Apply for CTET 2019”
After that, fill in the name and other details completely same as in class- 10thadmit card.
Choose the preferred language, three exam centers and paper option
Afterwards, fill the academic, communication details and other essential and required details. The relevant details required to fill are
- Candidate’s particulars
- Examination Center
- Languages offered
- If Differently Abled
- Personal details
- College Institution
- Address and contact
- Security PIN
Also, enter the security text in the form of captcha or OTP or whatever instructed there.
Finally, submit the application form.
There is also a “reset” option where the candidates can easily edit their details if something is filled wrong or missed by chance.
The candidates will receive a registration number which is highly important and confidential. The candidates need to keep the registration number with them.
- Step-2:Uploading photos and signature
Next, upload the photo in the given format and JPEG format. The size of the photo should be more than10kbs and less than 100 kbs in size and dimensions should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
And, upload the signature in JPEG format.The size of the signature photo should range between 3 kbs- 30 kb and dimensions should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm.
- Step-3: Paying application fees
As an applicant, you will be automatically redirected to the payment page after successful uploading of the images of photo and signature.
Next, the candidates need to choose the payment mode. The payment will be done in any one of the two modes— 1) through offline challan system, 2) through online mode.
For online mode of transaction, the candidates have to choose the payment gateway likedebit card, credit card or net banking.
For offline payment, download the e-challan and pay to any Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
- Step-4: Printing confirmation page
Finally, go to the confirmation page and print it out. Keep the printed confirmation page and challan receipt with yourself carefully.
Note- CBSE is an exam conducting body. Qualifying in CTET does not guarantee job to a candidate. It is simply an eligibility criteria awarded to the candidates to get better employments.
